Last Friday I popped out to attend the Contemporary Craft and Design Fair at RHS Wisley, Surrey. The visitors and exhibitors there couldn’t have asked for a better day – sunny, warm and bursting full of amazing art, craft and design.
The Craft in Focus event showcases the very best makers in the UK and allows the buyer to purchase and commission directly from the artist themselves. There were so many wonderful stands in the marquees and dotted throughout the gardens. Below are some images of the wonderful work that was for sale. From the humorous ceramic pigs in wellington boots from Jon Barrett-Danes to the sublimely beautiful and ethereal botanical prints from Amanda Ross to the fairy tales reimagined of Paul Smith Sculptures.
The Festival of Silver in the Glasshouse was particularly inspiring, displaying the very best in handmade silver products from the UK.
If you have a Craft in Focus event coming to somewhere near you then I highly recommend it – you won’t be dissapointed!
